YMCA North Staffordshire

YMCA North Staffordshire aims to transform communities so that all young people truly belong, contribute and thrive.

They provide a safe place for them through the campus community, supported lodgings and accommodation.

Whilst there, young people have access to training and education, employment and skills advice, and sports and activities in the onsite gym.

There’s also have a membership scheme for groceries called ‘Your Local Pantry’.

Volunteer Drivers

This role is to help within the maintenance team to maintain the external grounds of the YMCA campus so that they are clean and tidy to meet the desired standard set by the Manager.

The ability to carry out audits and maintain stock control is essential.

The responsibilities of the administrator volunteer for the Housing Team are to carry out clerical tasks based on the requirements of the Manager.

There will be a requirement to deal with cash transactions including receiving rent payments from our residents and ensure that they are transmitted to the safe at the end of each day.

YMCA is looking for experienced drivers to volunteer driving young people and adults to and from their events and activities.

We also require drivers to collect food from supermarkets and other YMCA partners for ‘Your Local Pantry’.

Reception Volunteers

Volunteer Painters and Decorators

Volunteer receptionists are needed to help on the 24-hour reception desk, and will be responsible for the receipt of packages and mail, and ensuring they are directed to the right person. You’ll also be welcoming visitors to the centre so YMCA is looking for friendly and approachable volunteers.

This role will include carrying out preparation works to ‘make good’ the area prior to commencing decoration, paint walls and woodwork, maintaining and keeping painted surfaces in good repair. Training will be provided.
