Volunteer Judges Wanted!Help celebrate Staffordshire's amazing villages and communities by joining our team of volunteer judges for the Best Kept Village & Community Awards!What's the role?Judge 3 village entries by reviewing forms and visiting in person.Assess community spirit, green spaces, cleanliness, and local facilities like playgrounds and village halls.Meet entrants, walk around villages, and take notes and photos.Complete online score sheets and provide constructive feedback.Work with a small team to agree final scores.Attend training, debrief sessions, and help promote the awards.What we're looking for:Friendly and approachable.Good communication and listening skills.Objective thinker with attention to detail.Comfortable using a computer.Able to travel to judging locations (car sharing may be possible).What's in it for you?Be part of a friendly team making a real difference.Gain confidence, new skills, and knowledge.Meet new people and visit beautiful places across Staffordshire.Travel expenses covered.Optional invite to the Awards Ceremony!Timeframe:Briefing in Stafford (Nov/Dec – up to 1.5 hours).Judging takes place May–July (weekdays or weekends, flexible).We'll keep judging locations close to where you live (but never your own village).Ready to get involved?
