Potteries Helping Hands Dementia Group
Potteries Helping Hands Dementia Group meets on the first Wednesday of every month, bringing together people affected by dementia for peer support, connection, and the opportunity to explore new dementia‑related initiatives.
Our membership is exclusively for people affected by dementia, and we are committed to creating a warm, safe, and supportive space for everyone who attends.
We are now looking for compassionate and kind volunteers who want to make a meaningful difference to the lives of people living with dementia and their loved ones.
What Volunteers Do
Help set up group sessions
Offer friendly conversation and befriending
Make and serve tea and coffee
Support people with dementia to attend the group
Offer community‑based support to those affected by dementia
Who We’re Looking For
Kind, patient, and caring individuals
People with a genuine desire to help others
Volunteers who enjoy being part of a supportive team
Those able to make a long‑term commitment
Please note: This role is not suitable for students seeking placement hours. It is intended for volunteers who want to be involved on an ongoing basis.
