About the Role
Hanley Connect, part of Brighter Futures, is looking for a Donations Volunteer to help support the organisation’s work within the local community. Brighter Futures’ volunteering scheme is aimed primarily at supporting individuals such as those with learning disabilities or those who have experienced challenges including homelessness, mental ill health, substance misuse, or offending behaviour. The role helps people reconnect with their community while building skills, confidence, and self-worth.

 

What You'll Do
As a Donations Volunteer, you will help sort and organise clothing and food donations. This includes folding and arranging clothing, checking dates on food donations, and keeping the donations cupboard tidy and organised. The role typically involves volunteering one day per week at Hanley Connect.

 

Skills and Attributes
You should be willing to help, organised, and able to carry out practical tasks. A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive community environment are important. No previous experience is required.
