Friends of the Spode Rose Garden
Do you want to make a difference to the environment while enjoying fresh air, gentle activity, and meeting like‑minded people? Whether you already have gardening skills or would like to learn some new ones, Friends of the Spode Rose Garden would love to welcome you.
We care for the Spode Rose Garden, an important City Pocket Park, and are inviting new volunteers to join our regular Friday lunchtime gardening sessions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Each session starts with a short discussion about the activities planned for the day. Tasks include:
Weeding
Pruning
Propagating plants
Sowing and growing from seed
General garden care and maintenance
Volunteers tell us they enjoy seeing the difference they make to this beautiful space and feel proud to contribute to their local community.
