Description:

About the Role
The MAC is looking for volunteers to help organise and deliver children’s free Make and Bake workshops. These sessions bring families together through creative, hands-on activities such as arts, crafts and baking, including decorating biscuits and cakes. The role supports a programme focused on creativity, young people and community wellbeing across Stoke-on-Trent.
What You'll Do
You will help plan and run Make and Bake sessions, supporting activities such as crafts, art and baking. This may include developing ideas, assisting during workshops, helping with promotion and advertising, and supporting fundraising. There are opportunities to get involved across a range of sessions throughout the year.
Skills and Attributes
You should be enthusiastic about working with children and families and have an interest in creativity, arts or baking. A willingness to contribute ideas, work as part of a team and support sessions is important. Volunteers can take part as individuals or as a group.
Benefits to You
This role offers the chance to be involved in the local community, meet new people and contribute to creative activities. Volunteers may gain a sense of achievement, build new friendships, take on active and rewarding responsibilities and develop new skills. There is also the opportunity to gain a greater appreciation of the arts and receive free tickets to shows.
Training and Support
The MAC aims to ensure volunteering is both rewarding and well supported. Volunteers will be part of a programme designed to benefit both individuals and the organisation’s charitable work.
Commitment
Volunteers are needed across a range of sessions throughout the year, with flexible opportunities to get involved as part of a wider volunteer team.
