E Day Class Mentor
Young Enterprise
Young Enterprise helps young people realise their potential and succeed in a changing world of work — and we need volunteers to help make this possible.
Our E Day Programme Class Mentors support young people to develop financial awareness and enterprise skills through engaging, one‑day, school‑based programmes.
About the Role
As an E Day Class Mentor, you will work with a small group of young people to help deliver pre‑designed activities that bring enterprise and money skills to life. You’ll support learning by encouraging participation and sharing your own experiences where appropriate.
What You’ll Do
Support delivery of a pre‑designed workshop with a group of young people
Work with students across varied age groups
Attend short briefing and feedback sessions
Act as a supportive and encouraging role model
Help create a positive, engaging learning environment
Where You’ll Volunteer
Primarily in person within schools
Working alongside teaching staff, Young Enterprise employees, and other volunteers
Most programmes run for one full day
Volunteers can choose to support as many or as few E Day programmes as they wish.
Who We’re Looking For
A great Class Mentor will be:
Willing to get involved and support young people
Patient, encouraging, and open‑minded
Comfortable working with young people (no previous experience required)
Able to communicate clearly and appropriately
Confident using basic IT
Why Volunteer?
Help young people build confidence and workplace skills
Support meaningful learning in real‑world contexts
Use your experience to inspire the next generation
Flexible volunteering that fits around other commitments
If you enjoy working with young people and want to help them develop skills for the future, volunteering as a Young Enterprise E Day Class Mentor is a rewarding way to make a difference in just one day.
