Games & Jigsaw Group Volunteer - CLaY: Communities, Libraries and You Project
As part of the CLaY: Communities, Libraries and You project, we are recruiting volunteers to support Games and Jigsaw Groups in libraries, with a focus on adult wellbeing.
These groups aim to create welcoming, social spaces where adults can relax, connect, and enjoy shared activities.
About the Role
As a Games & Jigsaw Group Volunteer, you will help support the setup and running of groups within Stoke‑on‑Trent Libraries.
You will:
Welcome new members to the group
Encourage participants to get involved
Support people to meet new people and make new friends
Help raise awareness of the groups within local communities
Create a friendly and inclusive environment
What’s Provided
Resources, materials, and equipment for the groups
Free tea and coffee
Relevant induction and ongoing support
Who We’re Looking For
Friendly, warm, and approachable
Confident engaging with people
Patient, with good listening skills
Able to use their own initiative and creativity
Interested in supporting adult wellbeing through social activities
Time Commitment
As little as 2 hours per week
