Adult Colouring in Libraries
CLaY: Communities, Libraries and the You Project
As part of the CLaY: Communities, Libraries and the You Project, we are recruiting volunteers to support Adult Colouring sessions in libraries, with a focus on adult wellbeing.
Adult Colouring groups offer relaxed, social sessions where people can come together, be creative, and enjoy time in a welcoming library space.
What You’ll Do
Welcome new members to Adult Colouring groups
Engage with participants and encourage conversation
Help create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
Support the running of sessions in library settings
Share awareness of the groups within local communities
What We Provide
All resources, materials, and equipment
Free tea and coffee during sessions
Relevant induction and ongoing support
You won’t need to bring anything other than your enthusiasm and people skills.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
Friendly with great social skills
Warm, caring, and confident engaging with others
Patient, with good listening skills
Comfortable welcoming new people into groups
Able to use initiative and creativity
If you feel you could support Stoke‑on‑Trent Libraries to set up and run Adult Colouring groups, we would love you to join us as a volunteer and help support wellbeing within the community.
