Dungeons & Dragons Group Volunteer


As part of the CLaY: Communities, Libraries and You project, we are recruiting volunteers to support Dungeons & Dragons gaming groups in libraries, with a focus on adult wellbeing.
These groups aim to create welcoming, social spaces where adults can connect, learn, and enjoy playing together.

 

About the Role
As a volunteer, you will support the setup and running of Dungeons & Dragons groups in Stoke‑on‑Trent Libraries.
You will help:

Welcome new members to the group
Share your knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons
Teach others how to play
Encourage participants to take part, meet new people, and make new friends
Promote awareness of the groups within local communities


What’s Provided

Resources, materials, and equipment for the groups
Free tea and coffee during sessions
Relevant induction and ongoing support


Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for volunteers who are:

Friendly, warm, and approachable
Confident engaging with new people
Patient, with good listening skills
Comfortable sharing their knowledge and skills
Able to use their own initiative and creativity
Interested in supporting wellbeing through social gaming
