Description:
At The Hygiene Bank, we believe it is not right that feeling clean should be a luxury or a privilege for anyone in our society, yet many are living in poverty and cannot afford to stay clean. That is why our network of projects exists – to give people access to the basics they need. Products are donated, collected, sorted and distributed to our network of community partners - a mix of organisations, charities and schools - who support those of us pulled into poverty. A Project Coordinator acts as a team leader that sets up and runs a Hygiene Bank project.Working with other project volunteers as they come on board, you will be responsible for working together to set up drop off points in your local area, collect and sort the donations and distribute them to your local community partners that you chose to support. As the coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for the project and will need to ensure that all administrative tasks for the projects are completed such as logging all collections and distributions in a timely manner via the main Hygiene Bank system. In addition to the standard collecting and distribution of product, you may wish to set up and run a social media account for your project, alternatively recruit another volunteer who may wish to do this for you.Applying for local funding is a great way to boost donations for your project. Your Partnership Manager and our Fundraising team can help with this providing guidance and reviewing the applications; however, you may once again wish to seek a volunteer that has some experience in this to help out. Other key activities include:Managing the project email boxMeeting virtually with your dedicated Partnership Manager from time to timeAttend Townhalls as and when they take place and encourage your team toStay up to date with news and updates via the Hygiene Bank's newsletterCompleting an annual stock count if requested
