At YMCA North Staffordshire our aim is to transform communities so that all young people truly belong, contribute and thrive. We provide a safe place for them through our campus community, supported lodgings and accommodation.
Whilst here, our young people have access to training and education, employment and skills advice, and sports and activities in our onsite gym. We also have a membership scheme for groceries called ‘Your Local Pantry’.
Role: Health & Safety Administrator Volunteer.
Responsibilities: Our Health & Safety Team are looking for volunteers to help to support them in clerical and administrative tasks. These tasks may include sorting through papers and filing them appropriately or supporting the Health & Safety Team with correspondence and note-taking. We would welcome volunteers with ideas for a more streamlined filing system. The files will be related to Health & Safety issues so they will need to be kept securely whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Skills & Experience Desired:
- IT skills (Word/Excel) would be essential.
- Excellent organisational skills would also be critical to the role.
- Key attributes for volunteers would be thoroughness, good attention to detail and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks set by the manager of the Health & Safety team to ensure the smooth running of the department.
