Description:Read Easy North Staffs is a small voluntary organisation providing free, one-to-one, reading coaching for adults who struggle to read in the Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme areas. We are looking for a volunteer to join our Management Team to network with other organisations. This is a home-based role but will require visits to various organisations in our area. Referrals Networker:No experience of teaching adult literacy is required for this role.You will network with local agencies, charities, and other organisations who are likely to encounter adults who struggle to read. You will contact organisations by phone, email and/or personal visits as appropriate to help them gain an understanding of our service.You will encourage them to refer prospective “readers” to us.You will attend team meetings, either in person or online, and play an active role in decision making.You will mainly volunteer from home but will visit organisations throughout our area as and when needed. Skills and experience desired: You will need access to your own laptop/computer and internet.You will have good written and verbal communication skills.You do not need experience in teaching adult literacy.
