We provide both social support and support with independent living. We hold a range of social groups for our beneficiaries. We are looking for help at our Hanley Group, which is held on the last Wednesday of each month 10-12. We are looking for friendly approachable volunteers who can help support us.This role involves:· Helping to set up the venue· Greeting attendees· Making drinks· Some guiding may be required· Conversation with the service users· Helping to pack up the venue at the end of the session. Skills and qualities required for the role:· Professional manner reflecting the charities values· Willingness to attend requited training· Friendly, approachable and patient· Good communication and listening skills· Reliable, motivated and enthusiastic· Ability to make a good cup of tea A DBS check and 2 references will be required prior to taking up the role. While volunteers are not paid for their time travel and other agreed expenses can be reimbursed.
