eBay Volunteer – Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac)


We are looking for volunteers to support our growing E‑Commerce operation, helping raise vital funds for Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
Our charity shops send donated goods to be sold online via eBay, allowing us to reach a wider customer base and achieve the best possible prices to support hospice services. This role is ideal if you enjoy a busy, practical environment without face‑to‑face customer interaction.

 

Why Does Dougie Mac Need You?
Volunteers are absolutely vital to the work of Dougie Mac Hospice. Without their enthusiasm and commitment, we could not continue to provide or fund our essential services. By volunteering in E‑Commerce, you will help ensure the department runs efficiently and maximises income from donated goods.

 

Who Will I Report To?

Community Shop Manager


What Will I Be Doing?
As an E‑Commerce Volunteer, you will support the online sales process by:

Sorting donated clothing for eBay listings and clothing bundles
Preparing items for online sale
Supporting with photographing items for stock
Packaging and posting items to customers
Providing general support to the eBay listing process


What Skills Do I Need?

Basic photography skills are an advantage (training will be provided)
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Motivation and a friendly approach


What Will I Have to Wear?

Volunteer badge (must be worn at all times)
Clothing appropriate to the working environment
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided


Time Commitment

Minimum 1 shift per week
Each shift is approximately 4 hours
Multiple shifts are available and may be required
