Volunteer Managers Network

Peer-Support for Volunteer Managers

“The meetings are so beneficial. The staff are always approachable, helpful, and informative.”

The Volunteer Managers Network gives people working with volunteers in and around Stoke-on-Trent an opportunity to share ideas, network, and provide mutual support.

VAST is dedicated to supporting volunteering in our city and we facilitate this network with the support of local partners, to ensure that volunteering is safe, accessible, fulfilling, and inclusive for all.

‘Volunteer Managers’ are often the only person in their organisation that’s responsible for volunteers but that’s what this network is for.

If you’re a volunteer manager or coordinator, this network will help you meet people in a similar role. It doesn’t matter what kind of organisation you’re from, whether you’re with a charity, community group, or a statutory organisation.

By including anyone whose role is to manage, coordinate, or support volunteers, we can help improve cross-sector collaboration and volunteering work across Stoke-on-Trent.

You don’t have to be a ‘Volunteer Manager’ to join our network either. If your role includes working with and supporting volunteers within your organisation, whether paid or voluntary, this is the network for you!

The Volunteer Manager’s Network meets quarterly, alternating between in-person meetings and online, with a combination of workshops, presentations, activities, and discussions led by members to share our collective knowledge, experience, and skills.
