Information from Transforming The Trent Valley Partnership

Transforming the Trent Headwaters

Transforming The Trent Headwaters is an 18-month project led by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust in partnership with VAST and Support Staffordshire amongst others.

The project has funding to map the wildlife and habitats, historical landscape and community interest across the Trent Headwaters and tributaries, basically covering Newcastle under Lyme, Stoke on Trent and Biddulph southern moorlands.

Kathryn Kavanagh (Staffordshire Wildlife Trust) and Tam Harrison (Support Staffordshire) have been asked to link in with as many people and groups as possible to find out what people think of their green and watery places, what people are proud of locally and what ideas they may have for future projects to benefit local wildlife and communities.

This work is being done to help create ideas for future partnership projects and bid for funding from organisations such as the National Lottery.

If you would like someone to come and talk with your group or community so that you can share your thoughts and ideas, please do contact the team by emailing [email protected].
