Posted on behalf of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICS:
Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) want to improve services and achieve the greatest impact for children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
We know that there is a lot of good work happening across schools, social care and health services, but we want to do better. Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS ICB are developing a Joint Commissioning Strategy for children and young people with additional needs, special educational needs or disabilities. This will be our plan over the coming years on how, what and where we can all work together.
However, we need the views of lots of different people, from children and young people with additional needs, special educational needs or disabilities and their families, to professionals such as teachers, social workers, nurses and therapists. We want to know what you think is important and what should be our priority as we work to improve services over the next five years.
Please complete our short survey to help us improve these services going forward. Please also share this with your communities and groups within Stoke-on-Trent, so that as many people as possible get the chance to share their views.
For more information, take a look at our webpage, here.
If you have any questions about this engagement, please email [email protected] or call 0333 150 2155.
Please share the survey with your staff and communities, including schools, VCSE and community groups please to help make sure as many people as possible get the chance to have their say and shape this strategy.
