Safeguarding Self-Assessment Survey | Share your Experiences
Help to build an accurate picture of local safeguarding.
VAST and Support Staffordshire are working with partners across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to develop a clearer, shared understanding of safeguarding practice across different sectors.
As part of this, we are inviting VCSE organisations to complete a short Safeguarding Self-Assessment survey. The aim is to build a picture of safeguarding capability, identify strengths, and understand where additional support or guidance may be helpful.
Why this matters
This is part of a wider cross-sector exercise, with the same survey (adapted for different settings) being shared across health, social care, housing and other partners. Together, this will help inform a system-wide view of safeguarding across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
Important information
- You only need to complete this one VCSE version – please do not complete multiple versions of the survey
- The survey is designed to be proportionate – you will only be asked questions relevant to your organisation
- It should take around 10–15 minutes to complete
- Responses will be used to inform sector-wide insight and support, not to assess individual organisations
Who should complete it?
The survey should ideally be completed by someone with responsibility for safeguarding, governance, or organisational leadership.
Deadline
Please complete the survey by 13th July 2026.
We really value your time and contribution. This is an important opportunity to ensure the VCSE sector is well represented in shaping safeguarding practice locally.
If you have any questions or would like support completing the survey, please contact support@vast.org.uk or info@supportstaffordshire.org.uk.
