Join our Board!
Are you at heart of your community?
Do you want to use your experiences to help others?
VAST’s Trustees are looking for new trustees to expand and diversify our Board. This is a voluntary, unpaid position; however, travel and other expenses can be covered.
VAST is a charity which supports voluntary and community organisations so that they can focus on helping the people that really need it.
We are looking for people who care about their community and want to use their skills, lived experience, and connections to support the voluntary and community organisations that work in them. You don’t need any specific qualifications and you don’t need to have been a trustee before. You just need to want to make Stoke-on-Trent a better place for the people who live there. You will be able to learn new skills, work as part of a team to help ensure everyone in Stoke can get the support they need and be proud to be volunteering to make a difference.
Our board are particularly interested in the following skills, knowledge, or experience:
- Links to further education and/or health
- Legal matters
- Data analysis and IT
Representatives from our membership base are also invited to apply to help our board best represent the members and organisations we serve.
But don’t worry, if you don’t match these criteria, we still want to hear from you!
The Board meets four times a year, but there are plenty of opportunities we’d love you to get involved with like sub-committees, working groups and other pieces of work.
If you like a challenge and are able to work as part of a team to shape plans and formulate responses quickly, get in touch to find out more.
To find out more please contact Charlotte Bennett, Strategic Projects Manager, by emailing [email protected].
To be considered as a future board member complete the expression of interest form by 5pm on Wednesday 3rd July 2024.
