Healthy Relationships Training – for groups working with families

Parental conflict is a way of talking about the difficulties some couples and co-parents may experience in their relationships with one another. All relationships have challenges and arguing and disagreeing is normal, but when that conflict is frequent, intense and poorly resolved it can be harmful and destructive. Parental conflict may include regular bickering, arguing, micro-managing issues such as contact, lack of positive communication, name-calling and point-scoring.

The Supporting Families team are pleased to share with you that they have commissioned Amity to deliver the Essentials for Couples Training as part of the Healthy Family Relationships Programme.

This six-session programme is designed to be delivered by practitioners directly to couples or individuals who are together in a relationship. The step-by-step programme can be used to guide couples through one-to-one support. It also offers practical tools and resources to those affected by everyday relationship challenges. The training is suitable for multi-agency practitioners working with adults who are committed to working with a couple or individual over six sessions. There is no cost to organisations for this training.

There are two virtual training dates available:

Thursday 30th January 2025

10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Tuesday 4th February 2025

10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Please note: these sessions are only available to organisations working directly with families in Stoke-on-Trent.
