The forum is held by the VCSE Healthy Communities Alliance, a collaborative group that enables local VCSE sector organisations to form a robust and meaningful working relationship with Health and Care System partners.

The purpose of the forums is to:

• Increase the health equity of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent communities through community-based approaches.
• Provide a strong collective voice for the role of the VCSE sector and bring VCSE sector knowledge, skills and expertise to address health inequalities.
• Provide a recognised governance structure through which ICS partners shall engage, consult and empower VCSE organisations enabling involvement in our health and care system on an ongoing basis.
• Provide the recognised legitimate means of both mandating and supporting individuals to act on its behalf, as Representatives, in attending and voicing VCSE perspectives and insight at formal ICS boards and steering groups.

The forums themselves include VCSE and statutory partner members to help build relationships and share challenges, solutions, and expertise.
