Information Session: The King’s Award for Voluntary Service

‘Every day, thousands of people across Stoke and Staffordshire are making a difference by volunteering. Each year, outstanding examples of this work are celebrated through the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).

Created in 2002 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee, the Award has been shining a light on the fantastic work of voluntary groups from all across the UK for many years.

Equivalent to an MBE, KAVS is the highest Award given to local voluntary groups in the UK, and they are awarded for life.

This online information session will provide you with insight into the application process, eligibility criteria, and key deadlines, and include practical tips to consider when applying. We’ll also explore the benefits of achieving the award, including national recognition, increased credibility, enhanced volunteer pride and morale, and greater visibility with funders, partners, and the wider community. Whether you’re considering applying for the first time or want to strengthen a future application, this webinar will help guide you wherever you are on your KAVS journey.’

This session will be delivered online via Zoom.
