Electrical house fires remain the leading cause of domestic fires in the UK, with new risks emerging. Too often, it is the most vulnerable households that face the greatest dangers.

In response, they have launched the Electrical Safety Fund – now in its fifth year – which exists to support communities up and down the country, and keep them safe from electrical harm.

Funding can support a wide range of activities, including product testing, repair, and replacement events; educational workshops and events; awareness raising activities; and home safety installation interventions.

This work helps prevent accidents, protect lives, and creates safer homes.
