Celebrating the Possible: Regional COP Conference Returns
The Staffordshire & Stoke-On-Trent Celebration of the Possible (COP) Conference 2025 is returning following its success last year.
This year expects to bring together 200 individuals, communities and organisations from across the region to explore bold and creative solutions for a more resilient future.
Taking place on Friday 14th March, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Lichfield Cathedral, organised by The Globe Group CIC, this free-to-attend event will celebrate ingenuity, collaboration, and innovative approaches to tackling local and global sustainability challenges.
Supported by Lichfield Cathedral, TopCashback, Lichfield District Council, and Support Staffordshire, the conference provides a platform for bringing together organisations and individuals who are leading the way in tackling regional challenges. Attendees will be able to network with local projects and hear from inspiring speakers discussing resilience and sustainability. There will also be exhibitor stands showcasing forward-thinking initiatives, funding opportunities, practical solutions and new partnerships.
“It often takes as much effort to set up one project that solves a single problem as it does to create one that tackles multiple challenges at once,” said Kate Copeland-Rhodes, from The Globe Group CIC.
“This conference is about bringing people together to unlock that potential—sharing knowledge, resources, and ideas, communicating better, and working more collaboratively. We need to move beyond working in silos and start thinking as a connected region, where communities, and organisations align their efforts for greater impact. Staffordshire is a determined and talented region, invigorated by a rich history and culture that has always embraced progress. We know where we’ve come from—now it’s time to protect where we’re going.”
As a key moment in the conference, Lichfield Cathedral, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and TopCashback will be signing the Staffordshire & Stoke-On-Trent COP Charter, alongside other organisations, demonstrating their commitment to collaboration and a long-term vision for the future.
COP attendees will also be able to visit The Dreamhouse, an interactive eco-home experience brought to the event by Lichfield District Council. This exhibit will offer visitors a glimpse into what sustainable living could look like, demonstrating energy-efficient technologies and practical steps that individuals and communities can take.
Local projects and organisations are invited to take part by attending or showcasing their work with a free exhibitor stand. The event is also free to attend and includes lunch and refreshments.
