Social isolation is a root cause of many issues we face, including deteriorating mental health, social division, and, ultimately inequalities. If we build connections in local communities, the positive knock-on effects can be significant.
Grassroots organisations are best placed to bring people together.
Civil Society Consulting (CSC) has developed an initiative called 32 Steps to Togetherness, aiming to support and leverage the VCS to build connections within and between communities.
As part of this Lottery-funded initiative and in partnership with the Diocese of Lichfield and All The Small Things CIC CSC is offering free training and support, while bringing key players from Stoke’s VCS together to co-produce a strategic approach to tackling loneliness.
Join in on 7th and 8th November for two capacity-building workshops with other VCS organisations across Stoke.
You’ll deepen your expertise, build a shared understanding with others, and create a film plan. By bringing key players together to build partnerships, these workshops will pave the way for a coordinated and energised approach to bringing communities together. You can also receive free follow-up consultancy support from the
facilitators.
What does this involve?
Over two mornings, you will:
- Develop a deep understanding of loneliness
- Co-produce a strategic approach/plan
- Attend film-making workshop
- Join the 32 Steps to Togetherness movement
