Bentilee Big Clean Up is a Big Success!
Earlier this month, young people from Bentilee and beyond came out to be part of the beginning of the Big Bentilee Cleanup! This was a fantastic few hours of community spirit where we picked up 50 bags of litter over the two days!
That’s 50 bags over two sessions, totalling 5 hours! The young people did so well, we are so proud at Vast to have worked with such energy and compassion for the local area!
Thanks go to Ulysses Youth, with Laura spearheading this work, the team at Strengthening Communities and Pride in Place for their support, and the local councillors Cllr Sarah Colclough, Cllr Lynne Watkins, Cllr Lynne Sharpe, Cllr Laura Carter and Cllr Sarah Hill for providing equipment and waste disposal!
This was a fantastic collaboration that came from the community, with young people leading the charge.
Future Big Clean events will be advertised on VAST’s Facebook page – equipment will be provided and everyone is welcome!
