Better Together launch Trent Vegas verse
Better Together launch a poetry and spoken word night at their Community HQ in Trent Vale in March.
Trent Vegas Verse will be a welcoming and inclusive place for people to listen to performers from the local spoken word scene and maybe share some words of their own.
Taking place on the first Thursday of the month between 7:00pm and 9:30pm, the evening will be hosted by Adam Colclough and Andy Woots.
Adam said, “We particularly welcome new writers and performers and hope that this can be a springboard to new opportunities for them”.
The organisers also have ambitious plans to host book launches and special guest slots from more experienced performers.
Adam added, “There is a lot of talent both new and established in Stoke. What we lack is places for them to showcase their work. Hopefully our nights will help to reduce that shortfall.”
Every open mic night will also see a TVP prize awarded in honour of the late Trent Vale Poet. This will be chosen by the audience.
Trent Vegas Verse will take place at The Better Together Community HQ, 4 Woodberry Close, Trent Vale, ST4 5LU.
