Stronger Together: A Celebration of Connection, Cohesion, and Confidence

As we bring the Know Your Neighbourhood and One Stoke programmes to a close, we’re coming together to recognise the people, relationships and shared purpose that have shaped them.

Both programmes have, in different ways, helped people feel more connected, build confidence, reduce loneliness and strengthen community cohesion, all through the power of coming together.

This event is less about formal presentations and more about creating space for people to meet, reconnect, have fun and enjoy being part of something bigger. It’s a relaxed, welcoming day designed for volunteers, VCSE groups, residents and partners who have contributed to KYN, shaped One Stoke, or simply care about community connection.

Join us for a fun day with outdoor games and activities, a little seed planting, some guided meditation, and a creative clay workshop.

With Sara from HSL Pottery you’ll be able to decorate a tile and contribute to a large collaborative art project, that brings together Know Your Neighbourhood, One Stoke, and Black History Month’s ‘Seeds of Hope’ for a permanent reminder that united, we are stronger.

This exciting event will also include a ‘Sound Bath’ experience; a form of relaxation, mindfulness, and meditation that uses sounds and vibrations as a way for you to clear your mind, reduce body tension, stress, and anxiety, and promote mental and emotional healing.

It’s an opportunity to celebrate what’s been achieved, the friendships formed, confidence grown and community spirit strengthened while also building momentum for what comes next. Because even as the funding ends, the relationships, energy and shared purpose continue.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you’ve volunteered, supported others, connected through community groups, or are just curious about getting involved, come along and be part of a day that’s all about people.

Because when we come together, we truly are stronger together.
