August race riots - Impact in communities

The recent race riots across England and Northern Ireland have had profound effects on communities, and we know civil society organisations like yours and those in your networks played a vital role in supporting those affected. At the Emergencies Partnership, we’re committed to learning from these events and your experiences to ensure communities are better prepared for future crises.

To achieve this, we’re partnering with Neighbourly Lab to gather insights from organisations that were impacted by, or responded to, the August 2024 riots. Your first-hand experiences with local response and recovery efforts are essential to building a coordinated, community-centred approach for the future that is focused on resilience and cohesion.

Where appropriate, please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey by 22nd November.

Whether directly or indirectly impacted, sharing your perspective—and encouraging your network to do the same—will directly contribute to strengthening the sector’s readiness and resilience. The broader the range of insights we gather, the richer and more effective our shared learning will be.

Thank you for making a difference.
