Incredible news for Families in Stoke-on-Trent

The team at Family Focus Staffs is thrilled to announce the launch of The Incredible Years Parenting Programme in Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.

Developed by Dr Webster-Stratton, these evidence-based programmes have been demonstrated to enhance parenting skills, promote academic, social, and emotional development in children, and effectively mitigate defiant and disruptive behaviour.

Our experience working collaboratively with families in Stoke on Trent has allowed us to tailor the programme for the needs of parents and caregivers in our area. Stoke on Trent is the thirteenth most deprived local authority in England, has rising levels of ethnic diversity, increasing numbers of child and adolescent mental health referrals, and has one of the highest number of children with additional needs and looked-after children. 33% of Stoke on Trent children are not considered “ready” when they start school. We know that delivery of The Incredible Years Parenting Programme to families in Stoke on Trent and beyond will help to address some of these issues by giving parents and caregivers the tools to nurture and guide their children to become fulfilled and successful adults.
