The City Council has launched a £50,000 grant fund to help local people during the winter season.
Local voluntary and community sector organisations are being invited to apply for a share of the funding if they are able to provide support to residents by addressing some of the following priorities:
- Food provision: with a focus on families with children
- Energy costs: including water and repairs
- Essentials: including warm clothes, hygiene products, white goods
Local community and voluntary organisations can apply for up to £3000.
Applicants will need to show in their bid for the funding how they will provide one or more of the priorities.
This funding is to help local people in need this winter and should therefore be spent by the successful applicants between early December 2021 and the end of January 2022.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 30 November 2021. We will provide a response to all applicants as soon as possible after that date.
