DESCRIPTION:\n\nIt can be lonely at the top!\nThe Voluntary Sector Chief Officers Group (VSCOG) is a network for VCSE sector leaders in Stoke-on-Trent. Our meetings unapologetically have no formal agenda to provide a relaxed atmosphere, a fantastic opportunity to network, build relationships, and share challenges and successes with our peers.\n\n\n\n\nVSCOG members have common aims, which encompass:\n\npromoting the role and value of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire’s voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector,\nsecuring the local VCSE sector’s sustainability and prosperity,\nimproving the quality of life for all through the VCSE sector, and\nmaximising the potential of the VCSE sector.\n\n\n\n\n\nAs a member of VSCOG you can help to shape the future of the VCSE sector in Stoke-on-Trent, keep up to date with local sector news, get to know other leaders in the local sector, and help provide an effective mutual support network.\n\n\n\n\nTogether VSCOG can:\n\nRaise the profile and role of the VCSE sector in Stoke-on-Trent.\nLobby on behalf of VCSE sector organisations.\nAdvocate on behalf of your service users.\nInfluence local policy.\nDevelop new, or expand existing, services.\nBuild partnerships and foster collaborative working.\nShare experiences and pool best practice.\nEncourage innovation and promote quality assurance.\nManage competition and access new funding.\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you would like to find out more about VSCOG or become a member, please email events@vast.org.uk ( mailto:events@vast.org.uk ).\n\nThis is a hybrid meeting, taking place at the Dudson Centre (Hope Street, Hanley, ST1 5DD) and online via Zoom from 1:00pm-3:00pm\n\nFor the comfort and privacy of all participants, we will not allow the use of AI notetakers in our meetings, networks and forums, and training sessions.\nWe are conscious however, that there are some who use AI notetakers for accessibility purposes.
