Area of interest: Supporting Adults, Supporting Children & Young People, Sharing Existing or Learning New Skills
Description:

Volunteer With Us – Join Woven Together!

Woven Together is our inclusive sewing circle, open to anyone who loves sewing — whether you're confident with a machine or just getting started.

Together, we create handmade items that support our charity's mission.

Many of these pieces are sold in our on site showroom to complement our beautifully produced furniture, and all proceeds go directly back into helping vulnerable adults with complex needs.

This includes people living with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, loneliness, social exclusion, or those who want to make positive changes in their lives. If you enjoy textiles, sharing skills, and being part of something meaningful, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

Use sewing machines — or learn to — to make soft furnishings, accessories, and upcycled textile items.

Create products for our shop.

Share sewing skills with other volunteers or participants when appropriate.

Keep the sewing area tidy and safe.

Uphold Restoration Shack's values of inclusion, empowerment, and dignity.

What You Bring

Essential: An interest in sewing and creative textiles

A team mindset and willingness to share ideas

Openness to learning and helping others improve their sewing skills

Desirable: Experience using domestic or industrial sewing machines

Enthusiastic learners and experienced stitchers are all welcome — full support is provided

What You'll Gain

Be part of a creative, compassionate community

Learn or develop sewing and upholstery skills

Help create ethical, sustainable products

Receive supervision, instruction, and recognition

Make a real difference by supporting healing, growth, and positive change
