Marie Curie


Marie Curie is looking for Collection Hosts to support our fundraising collections at local supermarkets, garden centres, high streets, and other venues.
Collection Hosts play a key role in helping collections run smoothly and supporting volunteers on the day.

 

What You’ll Do

Liaise with the local fundraising team to coordinate collection logistics
Help promote collections locally and encourage people to volunteer (e.g. through social media or personal contacts)
Build and maintain positive relationships with venues
Support securing future collection dates
Contact volunteers ahead of each collection to confirm arrangements
Act as the main point of contact on collection days
Distribute materials and answer volunteer questions
Process income after collections in line with Marie Curie and venue policies, including banking, paperwork, and thanking volunteers and venues


Collection Periods
Collections take place during:

The Great Daffodil Appeal: February – April
Summer / Autumn collections
Christmas collections (subject to venue availability)

Enthusiastic and approachable
Good communication skills


Additional Information

This is a flexible role — collection dates will be arranged to suit your availability where possible
Full training provided
All materials supplied, including an ID card
