Citizens Advice Staffordshire North and Stoke on Trent (CASNS) is one of the country’s largest advice agencies, with a national reputation for innovative and impactful work. As an independent local charity led by volunteers, we support people across North Staffordshire—helping 20,000 people each year solve over 55,000 new problems, supporting 30,000 victims of crime, and answering 130,000 calls on our national consumer helpline.
Our mission is to empower people experiencing poverty and inequality to improve their lives, while influencing policy makers to take action.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting members of refugee, asylum, and migrant communities with guidance from CASNS
Assisting at events and workshops for these communities
Acting as a mediator, helping translate information for people with limited English
Providing first‑line advice and support to local people seeking help
Who We’re Looking For
Individuals with lived experience of the UK Immigration and Asylum system
Open to refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants from diverse backgrounds
Ability to speak English, with additional languages desirable
