Community Volunteer Driver
Based in Hanley | Serving Newcastle & Surrounding Areas


Use your driving skills and friendly personality to help people stay connected to their community.
As a Volunteer Driver, you’ll be an important link for people who need support getting out and about — helping them attend groups, appointments, and activities that matter to them.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

Driving people to and from:

Community groups at our centre
Regular appointments
Hospital discharge journeys
Ad‑hoc transport requests


Offering a friendly, supportive journey from door to destination
Working independently while being part of a wider team
Building positive relationships with the people you support

If you have specific skills or experience, we’d love to hear about them when we meet.

 

Where & When

Base: Hanley
Travel area: Newcastle‑under‑Lyme and surrounding areas
Days needed:

Mondays
Wednesdays
Thursdays
Fridays


Times: During the day


What You’ll Need

A full driving licence
Access to your own car
Friendly, reliable, and patient manner

 

Travel expenses will be reimbursed

 

If you enjoy driving, meeting people, and helping others stay connected and independent, volunteering as a Community Driver is a rewarding way to make a real difference close to home.

You will be required to have a DBS check which will be submitted by ourselves and you will be reimbursed with vehicle travel expenses.
