Description:
At MHA Communities North Staffordshire, we want to enable older people to stay living independently in their own homes for as long as possible, with the best possible quality of life. We need some more volunteers for our various groups below:Monday Social Group and Lunch Club. It takes place between 12pm and 3pm at Norton Community church St Nicholas avenue Norton ST6 8JWMonday Movers and Shakers Group. It takes place between 11am and 1pm at Victoria Centre, Station Road, Biddulph, ST8 6BJTuesday Craft Group and Indoor Bowls. It takes place betweeen 1pm - 3pm at Oak Priory, Castle Grove, Abbey Hulton, ST2 8PN This role involves:Helping to set up the venueGreeting attendeesMaking drinks/serving foodHelping run activities e.g. BingoConversation with the service usersHelping to pack up the venue at the end of the session. Skills and qualities required for the role:Professional manner reflecting the charities valuesFriendly, approachable and patientGood communication and listening skillsReliable, motivated and enthusiastic Extra Information:Minimum age to volunteer in this role is 16Travel expenses can be reimbursed.
