Description:

Research Volunteer
Help support local research that improves Health and Social Care services in your community.
As a Research Volunteer, you will work with staff and other volunteers to help deliver research activities, gather insights from the public, and contribute to meaningful reports that support service improvement.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting research activities and fieldwork
Assisting with surveys, both face‑to‑face and in focus groups
Helping to design, test, and pilot survey questions
Recording and analysing data
Supporting the production of research reports
Making calls to help recruit participants
Engaging people using online platforms such as Zoom and Teams
Reviewing and proofreading content


Where

A mix of community‑based (face‑to‑face) activities and remote (online) work


When

Ongoing role
Flexible commitment — we will work with you to fit volunteering around your other commitments


Skills & Experience

Good communication and listening skills
Ability to ask questions and engage with people
Able to work as part of a team
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word)
Access to internet and email
Comfortable volunteering from home and using online platforms
Respect for confidentiality at all times
Good organisation and planning skills


Training & Support

Full induction to the role and organisation
Ongoing training and support from staff

DBS check carried out

You will be required to have a DBS check which will be submitted by ourselves and you will be reimbursed with vehicle travel expenses.
