Description:
We are looking for a volunteer Minibus Driver!Northwood Day Care Centre, is a purpose built Voluntary Centre for the Elderly in Northwood, Stoke on Trent. We have been established since1979, the Centre is owned by the Charity and Managed by an Executive Committee which consists of people from the community. And also a Day Centre Members Committee for the Day to Day running of the Centre.We are Dedicated to improving the Quality of Life for Elderly People in Our Care, within our community and to offer them and their families much needed support, which in turn enables our members to continue living in their own homes and communities longer. Volunteers must have a D1 on their driving licence. and must be over 25+. We need volunteers between Monday - Friday, but we can be flexible on what days. We would need the drivers in the morning 9am till 11am and in the afternoon 3pm till 4:30pm. Again, any help is greatly appreciated! All volunteers will be given full training and supervision on the minibuses, from how they operate to how to use the tail lift etc. Our volunteers are absolutely vital to the work of Northwood Day Care Centre; without them we simply couldn't continue to provide or fund our essential and much needed services for the edlerly people in the local community. The enthusiasm and commitment from our volunteers helps us to help others in our community and wider areas.
You will be required to have a DBS check which will be submitted by ourselves and you will be reimbursed with vehicle travel expenses.
