The Volunteer Manager role is often a challenging one for various reasons, but with Vintage Volunteers, it doesn’t have to be.
The Volunteer Management training will tell you what you need to know to better support your valuable volunteers, from recruitment to training and retaining.
This training will help you to identify your organisations need for volunteers; what they can do for you and what you can offer them in return. It will also help you to develop your management and coordination skills to enable you to develop your volunteers and retain them through:
- Effective communication
- Training and development
- Support and supervision
- Reward and recognition
- Overcoming barriers
- Equality & diversity
This course is perfect for anyone who coordinates and/or supports volunteers in any capacity, and costs just £60 per person.
The training will also include evidence and a report from a recent research project investigating the barriers to volunteering for older people, carried out by Staffordshire University and Vintage Volunteers!
The training takes place at the Dudson Centre on 24th July 2019 from 10:00 am until 2:30 pm. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
Places are limited, so book your place now to avoid disappointment.
