Posted on behalf of Together Active:
Together Active has launched its new ‘Gen22 programme’ for young people, linked to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
It aims to help young people aged between 16 and 24 gain employability skills through a mixture of volunteering with local sports and physical activity organisations and funded training.
Together Active is in the process of recruiting host organisations and reaching out to people who may be able to help reach their target group; they’re focussing on care-experienced young people, but also those from a disadvantaged background or who may face barriers to employment such as being a young carer, or a young parent, or having a criminal background.
Please visit Together Active’s Gen22 website for more information.
