Posted on behalf of Stoke-on-Trent City Council:

Stoke-on-Trent residents are being asked to continue to donate warm clothing, if they can, to help those in the city who are most in need over winter.

The donations will support the Stronger Together Through Winter initiative, a campaign by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, voluntary and community sector organisation VAST and businesses and groups throughout the city.

The Potteries Centre is collecting hats, scarves and gloves for adults and children which will be distributed throughout the community to those who need them.  Anyone who has any of these unwanted items can drop them off at The Potteries Centre, at the donation bank on the upper mall by Jack & Jones.

Cllr Abi Brown, leader of the city council said: “We all know that Stoke-on-Trent is the kindest city in the UK and we have a proven track record of supporting others when they need it most. We know that times are tough for everyone but I’d urge anyone who does have any unwanted warm clothes to donate them to support our most vulnerable residents this winter.”

Donations can be made until 31 March 2023.
