Online Healthy Ageing Workshop
Wednesday 3rd March at 13.00-15.00
Frailty and care of older people remains a key challenge in today’s society.
The Integrated Care System (ICS) is working to develop a system-wide strategy to promote healthy ageing and to make the care of older people more collaborative, integrated and patient-centred. It will cover wellbeing promotion, and prevention of ill health, as well as incorporating traditional aspects of treatment and social care.
As part of this, the workshop will address the widening health inequalities, including those resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Professor Zafar Iqbal (Associate Medical Director – Public Health, Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust) and Dr Amit Arora (Consultant Geriatrician, University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust) invite local health and care providers, and voluntary sector care organisations to help shape this strategy, and to understand the issues and opportunities from different perspectives as key contributors to the care of older people.
