Residents are being urged to have their say on Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s draft Older People’s Housing Strategy 2023-2028.

The draft strategy focuses on four strategic objectives:

It has been developed after new research found that the number of people aged 65 and over is expected to rise by 22.9 per cent in the next 18 years – meaning there will be an extra 10,450 residents aged 65 and above living in Stoke-on-Trent by 2040.

A consultation has now been launched and residents are being urged to have their say on the draft strategy. The consultation will run for eight weeks closing on Monday, January 23. Feedback gathered from the consultation will be considered and reflected within the final Older People’s Housing Strategy 2023-2028 which will be presented to cabinet for consideration in June 2023.
