National Emergencies Trust encourages Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic organisations to apply for funding

The National Emergencies Trust (NET) is encouraging charities and groups who serve the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities to apply for funds.

Research shows that people of BAME background are at significantly increased risk of coronavirus.

The central aim of the NET is to distribute funds as quickly as possible to help those in urgent need, which is why it wants to encourage applications from charities that are supporting hard hit BAME communities.

The NET has partnered with UK Community Foundations to distribute the funds from its Coronavirus Appeal. Already the NET has supported thousands of charities and it knows that through identifying where the need is most and providing support, the funding can transform lives.

If you are part of a BAME organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire or Shropshire and are providing relief for those in need, please contact the Community Foundation for Staffordshire for emergency funding.
