Music Group For Young People – ROOTZ Stoke on Trent

Do you play a musical instrument?

Are you 10 – 18 years old?

If so, ROOTZ needs you!

ROOTZ is a youth folk band based in Stoke-on-Trent, open to all instruments and abilities. So whether you’re an absolute beginner, post-grade 8, or anywhere in between, you’ll be made very welcome. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played folk music before either, as all music is provided and taught by two experienced folk musicians and teachers. There’s no charge to be in the band – it’s completely free!

The band performs regularly in and around Stoke-on-Trent and has twice taken part in the National Festival of Music for Youth in Birmingham. We’re part of the City Music Service in Stoke-on-Trent, so our rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings during term time at the Bridge Centre, Birches Head Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST2 8DD, from 5.45-7.15pm.

Contact 01782 233796 for more information, or just come along, with your instrument, and be prepared to have lots of fun, meet new people and learn lots of great music!
