Some cracking news!

Totally Stoked were able to donate an incredible 825 crackers thanks to a kind donation from The Three Crowns Pub in Stone.

Over 800 Christmas crackers were split between 13 different voluntary and community organisations across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. Ranging from disability support groups, hospices, supported accommodation schemes, children and maternal mental health support and many others, all groups who benefitted were able to put the crackers to good use and have a cracking Christmas!

The Christmas crackers were used in a number of ways including complimenting free Christmas meals in in local communities, at Christmas parties to celebrate volunteers or clients, and also within care packages to add a smile to people’s face during the festive season.

Concrete, a homelessness charity based in Stoke-on-Trent, used 150 crackers to provide a warm Christmas meal to their tenants over the festive period. Although traditionally joyous time, Christmas can be a traumatic and triggering time for many of their customers, most of which would not have had access to a warm Christmas meal. Alongside their usual support for, Concrete also provided their customers with a winter warm essentials pack.

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice used their crackers to bring a smile to those on their children’s ward and for families visiting over the festive period.

The Stoke-on-Trent Helping Ukrainians Group provided a free Christmas meal for their clients and children and the crackers were an excellent festive addition.

Below are some photos from Mother’s Mind and Circle of Friends who also received Christmas crackers.
