Celebrating 80 years of Advice – Citizens Advice Staffordshire South West

Citizens Advice celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, starting in 1939, following the outbreak of the Second World War.

Citizens Advice Staffordshire South West (CASSW) was one of the first local bureaux to open, its first office opened in Tipping Street, Stafford in November 1939 and the service across Staffordshire have been available to people in our local communities for 80 years. Now based at VAST’s Stafford Centre, The HUB, CASSW provides free information and advice in Stafford, Stone, Cannock, Rugeley and Wombourne.

Along with the national organisation, CASSW is celebrating this special landmark with a number of events, the first one was held on Wednesday 4th September which is was a partnership event, giving us the opportunity to thank our partners, funders and supporters over the decades and profiling our history.
