British Ceramics Biennial Events have a couple of different “arts and health” strands in this year’s British Ceramics Biennial.
Wellbeing Wednesdays – Free, informal artist-facilitated workshops from 11 Sep–9 Oct 2019 12:30pm–1:30pm, China Hall, Spode. Visit the British Ceramics Biennial’s Clay Quarter on a Wednesday to relax and unwind on your lunch break. Have fun, relax and experiment with clay in an informal hands on workshop facilitated by a Clay Quarter artist. There are 20 spaces available for each Wednesday session but booking is required. Visitors to the Clay Quarter will experiment with sound, light and tools to experience clay in different ways. To book on or find out more click here.
Growing Cultures Artist Talk – Free event on 14th September 2019 11:00am–1:00pm, China Hall, Spode- talks and discussion about this exciting project which included work with patients and staff at the Haywood Hospital. During this informal event, artists Peter Jones and Joanna Hejmej will discuss Growing Cultures – new work created for this year’s British Ceramics Biennial. To book on or find out more click here.
